Hi! I like spending time in nature, and love long ski trips when the weather is at its best. This interest I unfortunately do not share with Janne, who actually feels a couple of kilometres each easter is more than enough skiing for one year. In these pages I will give a brief introduction about myself and my interests. Maybe you share some of them?

Interests

Cultural interests

• Movies.
  This has always been an interest of mine. My first really big movie experience was "Runaway Train" in the Oslo cinema "Colosseum" in 1985. I really felt sucked into the movie and felt almost run over by the train. I have always thought of it as a Kurosawa film, although he "only" wrote the story.
• Music.
  I like music in many forms and genres. It is easier to define what I don't like, which can be represented by the swedish group "Vikingarna". Other than that, I like almost every music genre, but like to think that I focus on originality and quality.
• Cooking.
  This is a relatively new interest to me. I like to try out exciting recipes from seemingly ordinary ingredients and to serve the food in a visually pleasing way. The taste seem to become even better when it looks good.

Bodily activities

• Swimming.
  When I was twelve, I still hadn't learnt to swim properly! When I finally got the hang of it, my way wasn't long to regular swimming practice. I still can nok make a clean dive into the water, but swim pretty fast, since I practiced almost every day until 1988, when graduation and military service put a stop to this. After that, swimming has become a way of staying in shape. Even so, my pool experience has made me rather picky when it comes to water temperature.
• Ski trips.
  These were an important part of my life when I lived in Gol, but is now reduced to the occational trip during Christmas and Easter holidays. I still love the cross country skiing, but Janne prefers to make a place to rest really early in the trip and just enjoy the sun and barbecuing hotdogs on an open fire.
• Bicycling.
  The bike has been my primary transportation almost through my entire life. I still try to use the bicycle to work, but since it is 15 kilometres each way, this is only an option when the weather is good.
• Dancing.
  A source to frustration and happiness. Frustration because my abilities hasn't always been the best and happiness because I discovered that you don't have to be a world champion to make it fun for your partner. "Just Do It" has become an important motto. Let others control their toes, and I will keep track of mine...
